Jordyn Carbine (n): A creative and artsy female who enjoys combining fun with her hardworking, type-A personality. Although a tad odd at times, it is her strangeness that allows her to see all the beauty and artistic potential in the world. Above all she enjoys making other people smile. Well that, and a little Earl Grey Tea and a good paperback novel.

I'm currently double majoring in English and Graphic Design and minoring in theater at Carthage College. As far a career goals are concerned, I know I want to do something that will allow me to utilize my knowledge and talents, and that I plan to continue my freelance work on the side. I don't have specifics planned out just yet, but I am greatly interested in Illustration, Character Design, Costume Design, or Publishing. At my high school in McHenry, Illinois I took a number of advanced English and Graphic Design courses, including Graphic Occupations II, which functioned like a typical internship in a graphic design studio. I also excelled in my school's theater program, gathering a number of nominations for my costume wok, becoming secretary of my thespian troupe, and reaching the rank of Honor Thespian and Presidential scholar in the International Thespian Society. My work has be accepted into a number of art shows at Carthage, including The Annual Juried Photography Show, and the Illustration Showcase. I am also a member of both Kappa Pi and Alpha Lambda Delta, as well as in several leadership positions for student organizations, including being the President for Students Against Sexism in Society.
